Base is heavy (70kg) and has no recesses for lifting.
Base ships on a pallet 1.8x1.1m
Horse is heavier at the rear than at the head. Do not put any load on the tail or "grill". Take note of packaging before removal for re-packaging.
Horse to ship lying on side and strapped to prevent movement.
Construction of horse is panel steel finished in automotive paint.
Supplied box contains wood blocks, tools, fixings and plastic wrap.
Assembly:
Place the wood blocks under in the location the base will be placed, aligned where the short edges of the base will sit.
Lift the base into place. With the holes towards the rear.
Remove the wood block from under the front of the base. carefully lowering it to the ground.
Note the location of the plate inside the base that has bolt holes for mounting.
Leave the wooden cover in place until the pony is bolted into the base. This will help prevent damage to the painted top of the base.
There is a plastic shim around the bolt holes. This is NOT to be removed.
Lie the pony on it's side and unwrap the blankets and remove the plastic wrap and padding.
Do not put any lift by or put any load on the blue grill.
Carefully cut away the plastic wrap.
Keep the padding for reuse.
With three people carry the pony on it's side close to the base.
When standing the pony up have to people at the head and one at the rear legs.
The head is hard to keep steady while lifting into the base.
Stand the pony up next to the base oriented the same direction as it will be mounted.
Carefully lift the pony into place, locating the bolts through the top of the base and the plate inside the base.
Double check the base is sturdy on the supporting block.
Reach under the base and put washers and nuts onto the bolts.
The horse may need to be lifted at the head end to get the feet flush with the base.
Tighten up the nuts with the supplied 24mm wrench.
Pack down
Remove the tail and store in the blue foam packaging.
Wrap the body of the horse in plastic wrap to secure the padding to the back and head of
the horse.Lay out the blankets to wrap the horse in for shipping.
Tilt the horse forward with one person pulling from the front and one person lifting
from the rear-end. Third person to insert the wooden blocks under the rear of
the base.With the rear of the base secure and off the ground.
Reach under the horse and remove the 4 nuts. The horse will stay in place safely until it
is lifted out.Place the protective panel over the base.
With two people at the front one at the rear, lift the horse out and rest the bolts on
the ground.Rotate the horse and sit the horse on its back in the middle of the blankets. With one person holding the horse and another wrapping the blankets and securing with the straps. The wider strap goes around the middle.
Lie the horse on its side once wrapped.
Lift the base onto the pallet, placing the protective cover on top. Use the plastic wrap to keep it all together.
Horse needs to be shipped on its back secured to stop it tipping on its side.Put the blocks, tools, tail and plastic wrap in the storage box to send with the
horse.
